Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both international travel and mass media, and clearly states a position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and lacks sufficient depth. For instance, the second body paragraph attempts to discuss technological advancements and gives a specific example of Japan helping India with a bullet train project, which is relevant, but the overall argumentation is fragmented and lacks detailed support. The introduction and conclusion are quite brief and rely on repetitive phrasing rather than fully synthesising the arguments. Consequently, the response aligns best with Band 5.0 as ideas are presented but remain under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical organisation and overall progression are frequently disrupted by confusing phrasing and poor cohesive ties. Sentences such as 'The are more benifits then the drawbacks and it will explain in the trail paragraph' and fragments like 'Should also exchange the wide array of products...' demonstrate inadequate control of referencing and cohesion. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks smooth transitions, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of arguments easily. There is noticeable repetition of cohesive ideas, placing this performance at Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical resource is limited and displays frequent errors in word choice, spelling, and word formation. Throughout the text, there are numerous spelling mistakes, such as 'benifits' instead of benefits, 'metropolitian', 'cosmopolitian', 'incline' instead of inclined, 'hug' instead of huge, 'elitness', 'introducting', and 'Ahemedabad'. Furthermore, collocation is often awkward, as seen in phrases like 'getting exposure of global culture' and 'fosters in the term of defense'. While the writer attempts less common vocabulary such as 'cosmopolitan culture' and 'diplomatic trades', the high frequency of errors impedes clarity and places the response firmly at Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, tense usage, and prepositional phrases. Examples include 'travelling abroad had become' instead of has become, 'technology had take place' instead of has taken place, and 'the worlds first nations which have great elitness of technologies could also held to their relative countries'. Punctuation errors are also present, such as the stray full stop in 'In conclusion. exposure...'. Because errors are frequent and often cause difficulty for the reader, the grammar aligns with Band 5.0 descriptors.
