Student answer (Band 5.5)
The convenience to travel internationally and the excessbility of numerious social media applications on the earth have made it very easy for everyone to know how people spend their live in foreign. In my opinion, it have various advantages like, the usage of media save alot of time in compare to other methods and know a days it is very easy to travel throught airplanes and now about someones else culture. Nevertheless, it have some negatives too like, fake posts and combustion of jet oil.
To initiate with advantages, it is considerably easy to see on social media about other countries rather then to have tiring trips to that place. One can find anything about their cuture, behaviour of people, infrastrucuture and whatever he wants on dedicated sites. For example, Pakistan tourism department have their own instagram account, in which they post everything about country. Moreover, airplanes made the visits piece of cake for people in compare to the old conventional ocean travel.
Nevertheless, there are also some serious issues, that everyone must have to kpt in mind. Many people know a days posts fake things on social media. For example, many Ai videos today circulating about war between different countries are wrong; meanwhile, the emission of carbon dioxide due to jet fuel are creating more hurdles for us and polutes our environment.
To sum up, there are some disadvantages but the efficient use of mass media and ease of air travel outweigh negatives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of international travel and mass media, and a clear, albeit simple, position is presented throughout. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed, reflecting a partial approach to the task. For instance, the points regarding social media saving time or airplanes making travel easier are stated simply without adequate elaboration or deeper reasoning. Furthermore, an important length check reveals that the response is six words short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts task achievement. To reach higher bands, the writer must expand fully on all parts of the task with extended explanations and ensure the word count requirement is strictly met.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilized, and basic cohesive devices such as 'To initiate with', 'Moreover', and 'Nevertheless' help to structure the flow of ideas. However, referencing and cohesion can sometimes feel mechanical or slightly repetitive, and the logical progression between sentences is occasionally hindered by abrupt shifts in topic. To advance to the next level, the writer should ensure that cohesive devices are used more flexibly and unobtrusively, and that referencing pronouns clearly link back to their intended antecedents to create a smoother, more sophisticated progression throughout the text.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'infrastructure', 'conventional', and 'combustion'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, including 'excessbility' instead of accessibility, 'numerious' instead of numerous, 'live' instead of lives, 'throught' instead of through, 'kpt' instead of kept, 'Ai' instead of AI, and 'polutes' instead of pollutes. To achieve a higher band, the writer needs to expand their lexical range with greater precision and eliminate spelling errors to ensure communication is fully clear and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer employs a limited range of sentence structures, attempting some complex sentences that are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('it have various advantages', 'airplanes made the visits piece of cake'), article omissions ('know a days', 'about country'), and preposition errors ('in compare to'). To move up to the next band, the writer must demonstrate better control over complex grammatical structures, improve punctuation and article usage, and reduce the frequency of basic grammatical errors.
