Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people can easily travel internationally and can get to know about the people of other countries all over the world through internet. I strongly believe that there are many advantages of this development as compared to disadvantages.
In todays world, technology makes it more convinient for people to explore the world either by travelling or through internet. People can travel internationally through planes to other countries for fun or for busniess purpose, by visiting other countries people can able to learn about tradition and culture or other people from different regions. For example, someone travel from Canada to Pakistan, he will be able to exploe about the culture, fasion, food and the beauty of Pakistan.
On the other hand, if a person is not able to travel internationally due to different hurdels like lact of time or money, he is still able to explore world using mass media. Internet provides different online platforms such as, TikTok, YouTube, FaceBook etc. You can easily search anything about any country just by few clicks. By using various online platform people can explore the lifestyle and tradition of the native people of some other country. For example, if a person search about Pakistan, he will be able to explore different popular visiting and historical places of Pakistan such as, Minar e Pakistan, Fasil mosquee, Naran Kagan, hunza, S awat etc. He will also get to know about the tradition foods of pakistan are, biryani, korma etc.
There are also few disadvantages like by exploring too much about other countries rises people's expectations about that country. Also some people start facinating the lifestyle of someone from other country by watching it online and want to change their too, without knowing the whole truth.
In conclusion,i would say that although there are few disadvantages of exploring other countery through travel or internet but that do not outweigh there advantages.Overall, its positive development that help people to learn about traditions, culture and lifestyle of other people from different country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You answer the central question with a clear position: you believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and you return to this view in the conclusion. The response gives relevant benefits, including learning about culture through travel and using online media when travel is unaffordable, with examples such as Pakistan’s food and historical sites. You also acknowledge drawbacks, particularly unrealistic expectations and fascination with another lifestyle. However, these disadvantages are only briefly stated, and the explanation of how the benefits outweigh them is not fully developed. Some examples list places or foods without explaining what they teach readers about people’s lives. Develop the comparison by explaining the broader value of cultural understanding and how viewers can assess misleading online portrayals.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, paragraphs describing travel and online media, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. You use signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” to mark shifts. However, “On the other hand” introduces another advantage rather than a contrasting point, so a connector such as “Moreover” would be more accurate. Some ideas within the long media paragraph are joined in a list-like way, and the examples could be separated from the explanation more clearly. The conclusion repeats the main position but could synthesise the comparison. Use linking phrases selectively and make relationships between claims and examples explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “tradition and culture,” “lifestyle,” “mass media,” and “historical places.” Some phrases show an attempt to be specific, such as “online platforms” and “visiting and historical places.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “convinient,” “busniess,” “hurdels,” and “facinating.” There are also awkward or imprecise combinations, including “explore about the culture” and “tradition foods.” Aim for accurate collocations and a more varied range when discussing cultural exchange and media representation. Proofread spelling carefully, and choose precise expressions rather than repeating “explore” and “people” throughout.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if a person is not able to travel… he is still able to explore” and a concession in the conclusion. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “by visiting other countries people can able to learn” needs a correct verb pattern, while “someone travel from Canada” requires subject–verb agreement. There are also errors with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “by few clicks” and “that country.Also.” Some long sentences combine several ideas without clear punctuation. To improve, check verb forms and agreement, use articles consistently, and divide sentences when they contain multiple claims.
