Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear overall position in the conclusion, stating that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and give relevant benefits involving cultural understanding, overseas study and international business. The example of companies adapting advertising to local traditions helps illustrate one point. However, the response only partly addresses the comparison in the question: it develops advantages but does not explain any disadvantages or why the benefits outweigh them. Some ideas also remain general, such as saying travel can foster maturity or that exposure helps students, without showing how these outcomes occur. The opening paraphrase is unclear about the development being discussed. To strengthen the response, state your position clearly from the start, consider both sides, and explain each main point with a specific example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs broadly group related benefits, and phrases such as “As a result” and “For instance” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within the body paragraphs is uneven: the first moves quickly from meeting people to tolerance, travel enjoyment and maturity, while the second combines study, economic conditions and business without clear transitions. Some linking is repetitive or awkward, including repeated use of “It can also help” and the abrupt sentence beginning “And companies”. The conclusion introduces confidence, which has not been clearly developed earlier. Organise each paragraph around one central claim, then explain and exemplify it, using references and transitions that make the links between points explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “mutual understanding”, “living standards”, “marketing strategies” and “financial status”, which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “different culture” and “help”. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “borden”, “coutries”, “ecocnomical” and “advetise”, and some word choices or collocations are unclear, including “make their moment more enjoyable” and “good impact on both companies sale”. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for cultural exchange, travel and business, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer precise phrases such as “adapt products to local preferences” over general wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use subordinate clauses, for example, “As a result, greater exposure to different culture can promote tolerance…” and the conditional idea about companies adapting their strategies. However, the range is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. The opening question has incorrect agreement (“Are the advantages … outweighs”), and the conclusion repeats this error with “the advantages outweighs”. Other examples include “If have greater knowledge” and “it can creates”, where the clause structure and verb form are incorrect. Missing articles and plural marking also occur in phrases such as “different culture” and “companies sale”. These errors recur and can interrupt reading. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, complete conditional clauses and article/plural use, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
