Student answer (Band 5.0)

The international travel have seen a rapid growth from a last few decades , nowadays people like to travel and spread variours different types of culture and how they live in other countries .

people nowadays love to visit other countries because few decades ago most of the people were thinking saving money is more important for future emergency and other things , but after 2020 pandemic people are getting to understand that nothing is permanent so they started living life by visiting new places and countries .

by this people see how other people live in different countries . and nowadays young people go and visit different countries to post in social media this is a mass media . I think the most number of travellers are the youth ones because young people in nowadays like to travel more than others .

i think this is an advantage because small countries can generate revenue by creating more tourist places so that more tourist get attracted and can make development by that revenue . In today also countries like dubai , singapore , etc . Are creating revenue by making more tourist attraction so that more tourist are getting attract . This is how the countries make revenue . But this also have some dis - advantage like many tourist throw garbage in tourist palces so the image of country gets down . And also people make images in public places by this tourist do not come and visit again .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic by discussing travel, social media, tourism revenue and the problems caused by littering, and you indicate that you see the development as advantageous. However, the response only partially answers the comparison in the question: the advantages are described mainly as income for tourist destinations, while the disadvantages are mentioned briefly and not weighed against them. The claim that young people travel to post on social media is relevant, but it is not developed into a clear explanation of how this helps people understand life in other countries. The examples of Dubai and Singapore are also asserted rather than supported. To strengthen the response, state your position clearly in the introduction and develop a few relevant reasons with specific explanations and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is some organisation: the response moves from reasons for increased travel to its effects, then to a benefit and a drawback. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because ideas are often joined loosely, and the opening paragraph does not establish a clear argument. Connectors such as “by this,” “and,” and “but” are repeated or used imprecisely, while the shift from social-media posting to tourism revenue is abrupt. The final paragraph also combines several ideas without clearly showing how they relate. Use a simple structure—introduction with your view, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion—and use clear linking phrases to show contrast and cause and effect.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “international travel,” “mass media,” “revenue,” and “tourist attraction,” so the reader can identify the subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “more tourist get attracted,” “make development by that revenue,” and “the youth ones.” Spelling errors, including “variours” and “palces,” also reduce accuracy. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning less clear, although the main points remain understandable. Build a more precise range for discussing cultural exchange and tourism, and check spelling and common word partnerships. For example, use “attract visitors” rather than “get tourists attracted.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons and contrast, for example, “because small countries can generate revenue…” and “But this also have some dis- advantage…”. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence structures, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation. Examples include “The international travel have seen,” “people were thinking saving money,” and “this also have.” Several sentences begin with lowercase letters, and full stops and commas are often placed inconsistently, which makes the flow harder to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries first, then build longer sentences using controlled clauses such as “Although tourism can generate income, it may also create environmental problems.”
