In contemporary society, mass media usage is increasing day by day. A segment of the population believes that easy availablity of international travel as well as mass media over the world make it possible for people to know how other people live in distinct countries.

On the one hand, mass media made it easy for lot of people to know about different cultures, religions, beliefs and atmosphere of that country. Moreover, availability of international flights make travel affordable and reliable which results in travel from one place to another.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the topic and give a broadly positive position, especially in the conclusion, where you say international travel and mass media help people learn about other countries. However, the response only partially answers whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages: the benefits are listed rather than explained, and the disadvantage of fake news is mentioned without a clear comparison or supporting detail. The example about people making vlogs is relevant but its link to human progress is not made clear. The response contains 189 words, so it is 61 words below the 250-word minimum; the nine words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop both sides with specific examples and explain explicitly why the benefits are greater.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a benefits paragraph, a disadvantages paragraph and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within the body is limited: several benefits are listed without being connected or developed, and “Similarly, it leads to development” repeats a broad claim rather than advancing the argument. The shift from travel to news and vlogging also feels abrupt. Build each paragraph around one main point, then explain it and give a relevant example. Use references such as “this exposure” or “these opportunities” to make links between sentences clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “international flights,” “different cultures,” “mass media,” and “fake news,” which makes the subject clear. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or awkward, such as “know about different cultures” and “travel from one place to another.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “availablity,” “leds,” and “ti,” which reduce accuracy. Some phrases, such as “human progress” and “development of the nation,” are broad and repeated without precise meaning. Aim for more specific vocabulary to describe cultural understanding, access to information, and the effects of misinformation, while checking spelling and natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “Moreover” and one using “which contributes.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to follow. For example, “availability of international flights make travel affordable” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “it also have some disadvantages” has the same issue. The sentence about news and development runs together without a space after the full stop, and “essential for to get know” has an incorrect grammatical pattern. Practise agreement, articles, and infinitive structures, and use shorter, accurately punctuated sentences before adding more complex clauses.
