Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent times, the exploration or discovery of various place all around the earth is easily accessible due to the immense amount of information regarding those destination available throughout the internet. The widespread of media all across the globe and travelling internationally being so much easier which allows humans to know the lifestyle of people from different nations easier than ever before. This essay will discuss how the positives of it are far more superior than it's negatives.
One major advantage of the globally accesible content all over the media is that now people can now easily understand the hardships or circumstances to live within a country as per it's weather conditions. For example, people from central Africa can easily observe the difficulties that people from colder environment countries goes through like blockage of transportaion due to heavy snowfall or increased amount of people catching cold. This also be done vice-versa for people living far in Northern or Southern hemisphere who wants to understand the shift of temperature when moving centerally nearby the equator.
Other advantage of it can be that, it can basically help the keen minds to gain more knowledge about various lifesystes in various nations. People can easily gain social and cultral knowledge of different parts of the earth without even going outside their home. Additionally, this can sometimes potentially lead to situations where people might even migrate to those places and exprience living there themselves. This can potientially outcome as helping that country economically as more immigrants and international students arrive in their nation.
Although one disadvantage of it can be that, majorly throughout the media only the positives of living in a nation is shown like good lifestyle and lot of place to explore and the negatives like lack of government support or dirty resedential streets aren't shown in the media.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that due to the increased mobility and global widespread of media has assisted nations in increasing their economy massively while there are still a few negatives which aren't regularly shown throughout the media.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the question by taking a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and you give relevant reasons: media can help people understand living conditions elsewhere and learn about other cultures, while travel and migration may benefit destination countries. The example comparing colder regions with central Africa helps illustrate your first point. However, the discussion of disadvantages is much less developed: you mention that media may show only the positive aspects of a country, but do not explain the consequences or weigh this concern against the benefits. The economic benefit of migration is also asserted rather than supported with a specific example. Develop both sides more evenly and make the comparison explicit to strengthen your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two paragraphs on advantages, a paragraph on a disadvantage, and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress in a sensible order, and signposts such as “One major advantage,” “Additionally,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. However, some connections are mechanical, and the opening sentence is difficult to follow because it combines exploration, information, and accessibility without a clear relationship. The conclusion repeats the position but introduces the claim that nations’ economies have increased “massively,” which is not fully established in the body. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example directly to its main claim, and ensure the conclusion reflects the argument already developed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “hardships,” “weather conditions,” “social and cultural knowledge,” “immigrants,” and “international students.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt more specific expressions rather than relying entirely on basic words. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “the widespread of media,” “various lifesystes,” and “potientially outcome” are examples. There is also repetition of “easily” and “various.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and proofread spelling; for example, use “the global reach of the media” and “learn about different ways of life.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which,” “as,” and “where,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, some sentence structures are faulty or incomplete. The opening paragraph contains a fragment-like construction in “The widespread of media … and travelling internationally being so much easier which allows…,” while “This also be done” lacks the correct verb form. Agreement and sentence control also need attention in “people … goes through” and “people … who wants to understand.” Review how to form complete clauses, match verbs to their subjects, and use articles and possessives consistently. More accurate control of these patterns would make your complex sentences clearer.
