Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response touches on relevant benefits, including learning about other cultures, enjoying travel, and contributing to a country’s economy, and it mentions risks such as dangerous destinations and vehicle accidents. However, it does not clearly answer the central question of whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages: the final view is unclear, and the discussion shifts between travel and mass media without explaining their combined effects. Most points are listed rather than supported with examples or explanation. The response is also 82 words below the required minimum; 15 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To improve, state your position directly and develop a few relevant points with specific examples and clear links to the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic attempt to move from benefits to drawbacks, signalled by “First” and “However,” so the reader can identify some broad stages of the response. However, ideas are not arranged into clear paragraphs, and the progression is difficult to follow. The discussion jumps from cultural learning to family enjoyment, then the economy, social media, dangerous destinations, and vehicle damage without clear links. Some connections are also confusing, as in “choose wrong destination it effects on mass media.” Use separate paragraphs for the advantages and disadvantages, connect each supporting detail to its main point, and finish with a conclusion that restates your judgement. More accurate, varied linking would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses some topic-related vocabulary, including “international travel,” “culture and tradition,” “economy,” “destination,” and “obstacle.” These choices show an attempt to discuss travel and its effects, but the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the intended meaning hard to understand. For example, “new workplaces” appears to mean new places, while “relished” does not fit the idea of enjoying a trip. There are also spelling and word-form errors such as “ocassionally” and “traveling” used inconsistently. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check collocations and spelling; this will help express ideas clearly without relying on repeated general words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response mainly uses short, simple statements and attempts a few longer structures, such as “Individuals also feel relished, energetic and motivated.” However, sentence boundaries and basic grammatical patterns are often inaccurate, and these errors can make meaning difficult to follow. The opening is a fragment, and “International travel do assit to country economy” has problems with subject–verb agreement and sentence structure. Other examples include “people should be carefully” and “Numerous People's break their work,” where the grammatical forms do not fit the intended meaning. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, agreement, verb forms, and punctuation. Once these are more reliable, add a wider range of sentence structures.
