Student answer (Band 5.5)
Since we're living in the era of global village having access to mass media and internation travel become so easy that almost everyone know about every country's people. And I think the advantages of this development surely overweigh the disadvantages, and here is why?
First, it made the most complicated things easy, people understand each others' culture, living style and they learn from that. It helped the mutual understanding rise and made people to respect others beside difference of boundries. Through that we have more understandable and quit peacefull, diverse and respectfull socities as campared to old age where there was no patience of acceptance. One of the best things it has done to this generation is overcoming the communication barrier which made all this connectivity more possible.
Second advantage which I like the most is outrage of knowldge. Now, knowledge has no boundries and information is everywhere and asian man can about erupean history and learn from it easily. Now poeple solve huge problems of their lives watching a man from another country on youtube. A man from america maybe be cooking an asian cusine he learned through a friend who traveled to study in america.Through all of that tech companies have employees across the globe and with the help of that talent we're toward a better era where most of the humen labor will be reduced to tech and all that becomes possible through knowing each other.
I would love to conclude it saying we'd never understand each other if we'd not have met and thats the best thing about mass media and travel. We explore, we learn and understand and eventually it will lead to a better world where humen keep their differences aside and love the diversity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: you believe the advantages of international travel and mass media outweigh the disadvantages. You give relevant reasons, including greater cultural understanding and access to knowledge, and the examples of learning history or cooking through online connections help illustrate these points. However, the response focuses almost entirely on benefits and does not explain any disadvantages or why they are outweighed, so one part of the comparison is less fully addressed. Some claims, such as technology reducing most human labour, are introduced without enough explanation or evidence. Develop each main point with a clearer chain of reasoning and briefly acknowledge a plausible drawback before explaining why the benefits remain greater.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting advantages, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing phrases such as “First” and “Second advantage” make the main points easy to identify. However, some connections between ideas are abrupt: the discussion moves from online learning to international company employees and reduced human labour without clearly showing how each point supports the argument. The conclusion also repeats the benefits rather than drawing together the two body points. Use clearer links between examples and claims, and make references such as “Through all of that” more specific so readers can follow exactly which ideas they refer to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “mutual understanding,” “communication barrier,” “diverse,” and “connectivity.” These choices show an effort to express ideas beyond basic everyday language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “internation,” “boundries,” “outrage of knowledge,” and “humen labor.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “asian man can about erupean history.” This limits the clarity and flexibility of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing culture, information, and global connections; choose precise expressions rather than translating an idea word by word.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, for example, “people understand each others' culture, living style and they learn from that.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main message is generally understandable. However, several sentences contain errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries. For instance, “almost everyone know” needs subject–verb agreement, while “having access … become so easy” has an unclear grammatical subject and verb form. The long sentence beginning “Through all of that tech companies…” also needs clearer punctuation and structure. Practise building accurate complex sentences, and proofread for agreement, complete clauses, and punctuation before submitting.
