Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both advantages and disadvantages, mentioning travel, food, cultural awareness, and the risk of losing local traditions. However, the task asks whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and your position is not clearly stated: the introduction promises to discuss both sides, while the conclusion lists them without deciding which is greater. Several points are also only briefly explained. For instance, the example about a hotel in Italy and dress codes is difficult to follow and does not clearly show the consequences of inaccurate information. The response is 246 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum. To strengthen the response, state your judgement directly and develop one or two relevant examples in more detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
Your response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate benefits from drawbacks. However, progression within the paragraphs is weak, and some links are repetitive or confusing. Both body paragraphs begin with “On the other hand,” even though the first presents advantages, so the transition does not accurately signal the relationship between ideas. The sentence about enjoying nature and making memories “by meals togeather with foreign food” is difficult to follow, and the hotel example is not clearly connected to the point about misinformation. Use topic sentences that identify each paragraph’s main idea, then explain and illustrate it in a clear sequence. More precise referencing and varied transitions would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate basic ideas, including “mass media,” “culture and traditions,” “foreign festivals,” and “historical places.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning unclear. For example, “beneficial among the world” does not express the intended idea naturally, and “celebrate in their own country” is vague in this context. Spelling errors such as “diffrent,” “beautifull,” and “toageather” are also noticeable. Aim to use more precise phrases for cultural exchange and misinformation, and check spelling carefully. Learning collocations such as “gain insight into another culture” will help you express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” or “by following,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. For example, “a person who go to italy hotel” has problems with the relative clause and verb form, while “there are few disadvantages … is that” combines incompatible structures. Capitalisation and spacing after punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then extend them with one subordinate clause at a time. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, articles before singular countable nouns, and separating complete sentences with appropriate punctuation.
