Student answer (Band 5.5)
The easy availabilty of travel and the spread of different media platforms globally have made it more convenient for people to know about the lives of individual in other states nowadays from the past. I believe, the advantages of this progress is more than their disadvantages because it can provide a valuable information about the people that live in another part of the world. However, sometimes it can spread a fake news which can degrade people all over the world. Firstly, there are several mass media that can help people to gain information about the culture, tradition, education, health, and other activities present far from one another. For example, an individual in one country wants to know about the culture of residents in other country, so they use social media and find valuable knowledge related to those people. If people get informed from one another, they can help eachother in their problems and try to solve it significantly, isn't it? Secondly, apart from the advantages, there are also some disadvantages of this trend all over the world. Nowadays countries are connected to one another, that's why its very easy to spread crucial information from one state to other. However, people can also taking part in spreading news which can sometimes negatively effect the lives of people. As an illustration, when someone personal vedio leak from their phone, so these mass media can spread this news within seconds around the world. If these media can spread only interesting and valuable information, it would be better for all of us. To sum up, travelling and social media can spread the information very quickly globally and it can aware people about various news. Consequently, its advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, and you address both sides of the question. The discussion of learning about culture and helping people in other countries is relevant, while the example of a leaked personal video illustrates a genuine risk. However, the advantages are explained more fully than the disadvantages, and some claims remain general. For instance, “they can help each other in their problems” does not explain how greater knowledge leads to practical help. The conclusion restates your view but does not weigh the two sides in detail. To strengthen the response, develop each main point with a clearer explanation of its effects and make the comparison between benefits and harms more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. “Firstly,” “Secondly” and “To sum up” make the stages of the argument easy to follow, and each body paragraph has a recognisable focus. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, the question “isn't it?” interrupts the explanation rather than advancing it, while “However” introduces a disadvantage without clearly connecting it to the preceding point. References such as “these media” and “this news” could also be more precise. Use fewer formulaic transitions and build clearer cause-and-effect links between each claim, explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “mass media,” “culture,” “valuable information” and “negatively affect the lives of people.” These choices make your main ideas understandable, and you attempt topic-related expressions such as “spread” and “globally.” However, several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems reduce precision: “easy availabilty,” “individual in other states,” “crucial information” where you mean widely shared information, and “personal vedio leak” are awkward or inaccurate. “Aware people” is also not the natural expression for informing people. Aim for more accurate combinations such as “access to international travel,” “people in other countries,” and “raise awareness.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise collocations would make your argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If these media can spread…” and clauses introduced by “because” and “when.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “the advantages … is,” “people can also taking part,” and “it can aware people”; the sentence beginning “when someone personal vedio leak” also lacks a correctly formed clause. Some sentences combine ideas in ways that make their grammatical relationships difficult to follow. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and revise complex sentences to ensure each clause has a clear subject and correctly formed verb. More accurate control of these structures would improve readability.
