Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a position—that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages—and give one relevant benefit: social media can help people learn about other cultures, illustrated by your reference to Instagram and South Indian culture. However, the response addresses the task only minimally. The disadvantages are not discussed, and the second merits paragraph stops at a heading, so the comparison required by the question is not established. The example is also brief and does not explain how greater cultural knowledge benefits people. The response is 103 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to develop the argument. To strengthen your response, cover both sides, explain why your chosen advantages are more significant, and support each main point with a developed example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an introduction and a body paragraph, and phrases such as “For instance” signal an example. However, the ideas do not progress into a complete essay: the final line, “Analyzing the another point view of merits,” is only a heading, with no supporting paragraph or conclusion. The repeated wording about learning other cultures also makes the paragraph feel circular rather than developed. Some linking expressions, including “consequently,” are used without a clear result being established. Build a clear sequence of introduction, developed arguments, a comparison of advantages and disadvantages, and conclusion; use referencing and transitions to show how each point connects.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “culture,” “traditions,” “technology,” and “adopt,” and the reader can generally identify your intended subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “know about other culture.” Some word choices and collocations are unnatural, such as “mortals” for people, “explore new things” in this context, and “fruitfull for mortals.” There are also spelling errors, including “acknowleged,” “Analyging,” and “fruitfull.” These issues make the writing less natural and occasionally slow understanding. Aim for precise, conventional expressions and check spelling; for example, use “people,” “learn about other cultures,” and “beneficial.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts a few longer structures, such as “For instance, with the assistance of Instagram many people know about South Indian culture and easily adopt the traditions,” but most sentences rely on simple patterns, and grammatical errors are frequent. Examples include “it very easy” (missing a verb), “for mortals do travel” (incorrect infinitive structure), and “Its very beneficial for mortals know” (missing both an appropriate verb form and “to”). Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention: “the another point view” is not grammatically formed, and the opening sentence joins clauses awkwardly. Practise complete sentence patterns, especially subject–verb structures and infinitives, then proofread punctuation and capitalisation.
