Student answer (Band 5.5)
If is often argued by some people that ease of international travel and mass media all over the world made more reliable to get to know how other countries people live. Although some people might consider this negative but, I believe it to be positive development. Not only beacuse it is affordable and get to know the culture of other countries without visiting, but also beacuse it is environment friendly.
There are many benefits of mass media. Firstly, it is affordable everyone can watch and get to know about informations from other countries and remianed updated. As mass media used in all over the world it makes eaiser to remain in touch with people from other countries without any cost. Take an example of Japan, where governement planed to provide free access of the mass media production to its citizens in 2028. Thus, this is beneficial for humainites.
Secondly, mass media is the easiest way to know about other people of different countries with out visiting. As the mass media popular all over the world and it provide information in different part of the world. For instence, the people of South Africa using the media to contact with other countries people and showing their culture howe they live. Henc, this also proved that mass media is beneficial.
Finally, the TV programs are eco-friendly. As people can see, explore and remain in contact with other countries updates using media.
To sum up, from my perceptions that ease of international travel and mass media usage is a positive development not only beacuse it is affordable, cheap but also beacuse of environment and culture protection of local areas.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that the development is positive, and your points about affordability, learning about other cultures without travelling, and environmental benefits are relevant. However, the response only partly answers the comparison in the question: it does not explain any disadvantages or show why the advantages outweigh them. Several claims are also under-developed. For example, the Japan example about free media access in 2028 is not connected clearly to how people learn about life abroad, while the South Africa example needs a specific explanation of what people learn or share. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a relevant, credible example, and briefly acknowledge the disadvantages before weighing them against the benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, three body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Finally,” and a concluding summary. This makes the main direction easy to follow. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and links between claims and examples are not always clear. For instance, the Japan example follows the point about affordability but does not explain its relevance, and the final body paragraph introduces environmental benefits without developing them. Some linking phrases, such as “As” and “Thus,” are used in ways that do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. Make each paragraph follow a consistent point–explanation–example sequence, and use referencing and transitions that show the precise connection between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “international travel,” “mass media,” “culture,” and “eco-friendly,” and you attempt to express ideas about affordability and cultural awareness. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to interpret, such as “get to know about informations,” “mass media production,” and “humainites.” Repetition of “beneficial” and “get to know” also limits precision. Aim to learn common collocations for this topic and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise choices such as “access information,” “learn about other cultures,” and “raise awareness” would help communicate your points more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast in “Although some people might consider this negative…” and a cause-and-effect structure beginning “As mass media…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, sentence construction, articles, and agreement occur throughout. For example, “If is often argued” lacks a subject, “mass media … made more reliable” has an incomplete construction, and “the mass media popular all over the world” is missing a verb. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning unclear. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and articles. Shorter, controlled sentences will help you express your ideas reliably before adding more complex structures.
