Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the parts of the world, the International travel has given an opportunity to people to improve understanding about different countries through a wide range of mass media . From my perspective, it is a positive development and the advantages such as better cultural understanding and generate employment outweigh the disadvantages.

On the one hand, the primary negative point behind this statement is loss cultural identity. To explain, people are opting overseas travel frequently . when individuals visit another countries and they are more likely to adopt international culture. They follow overseas style, behavior of britishers and food. They also like to speak international languages to become cool and modern in the front of their friends or families. Consequently, these factors lead to loss of cultural heritage because they do not pay attention to their culture and country . Additionally, if people often visit international countries , they can like to celebrate international customs and traditions . Thus, they do not take interest in their own traditions and customs . It results in forget about history of their own countries .

On the other hand, there are a significant benefit of international travel . To elaborate, first and foremost is overseas journeys help to ehance cultural understanding more precisely. They get to know about diverse countries histories more deeply . Secondly, international travel leads to modernation . Because when different nations meet with each other and they expand their business in opposite countries which automatically result in globalisation . Businessman can set up their business in different nations which lead to increase economic growth of countries.

Another positive imapct of international travel is generate employment. When distinct countries do trade and there is require of employemt among countries for import & export . Likewise, during trade through cargo ,flight countries need to require a fixed employment for transportation, packaging , checking the lists and loading the cartons. Hence, these evidence is more likely to generate employent between nations and people get fixed employment enhance a quality of life.

In conclusion, Although, international travel has drawbacks , it has a undeniable greater advantages. The benefits of it is ease of cultural understanding and create employment ; however, these disadvantages namely lose of cultural heritage will be mitigated by government spread awareness regarding the value of culture.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider the advantages greater, and the conclusion restates this view. You address both sides by discussing possible cultural loss and benefits such as cultural understanding and employment. The employment paragraph gives a relevant example involving cargo, packaging and transport, while the cultural-loss point is explained through changes in customs and language. This covers the task well, and the response shows some of the fuller development expected at the next level. However, the discussion of media is largely absent, despite being central to the prompt, and the link between international travel, modernisation and economic growth is asserted rather than fully explained. Develop these points and support them with more specific examples to make the argument more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for disadvantages and advantages, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the overall direction. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical because several sentences begin with “Additionally,” “Secondly,” or “Another,” and the advantages are split across paragraphs without a clear progression between them. Some references are also unclear, as in “these evidence,” where the reader must infer which examples are meant. Group related benefits into a more deliberate sequence, use pronouns and linking phrases with clear referents, and connect each example explicitly to the main claim. This would make the progression smoother and less dependent on formulaic transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “cultural identity,” “cultural heritage,” “globalisation,” “economic growth,” and “employment.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond basic everyday language. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and word forms are noticeable and sometimes make ideas less natural: “loss cultural identity,” “modernation,” “generate employment,” and “fixed employment” do not express the intended meanings precisely. Spelling errors such as “ehance,” “imapct,” and “employent” also reduce control. Aim for accurate, natural combinations—for example, “a loss of cultural identity,” “promote cultural understanding,” and “create job opportunities”—and proofread spelling and word forms. Greater precision would make your argument clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including conditional and subordinate clauses, as in “when individuals visit another countries” and “Although, international travel has drawbacks.” This gives the essay some structural variety, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors recur in agreement, articles, plurals and sentence construction. For example, “there are a significant benefit” has a subject–verb and number mismatch, while “Businessman can set up their business” does not maintain agreement. The final sentence also has an awkward clause structure and punctuation around “Although.” Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, consistent singular/plural forms, and correct article use. Shorter, accurate sentences can help you control the more complex ideas you are trying to express.
