Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, it is much easier to know about foreign countries people live all over the world only because of international traveling and wide media chanels. I feel the advantages of this strongly outweigh the disadvantages, because people are now more into exploration and technology then before.
There are several reasons of this view, among all the view peoples interest in exploration is one of them. Any individual is now willing to know about other peoples live like culture, food, history, heritage and so on weather traveling is so time consuming or not they prefer to get a international trip to know more and get real life experience on it. In addition, if they don't get enough time then they use variety of social media apps to know about others culture.
On the other hand, It is more easier to know about it only because of technology. Technology have come so far that you can order other countries cosmetics through online pages via social media or website. On the contrary, if you want to see something and also get experience you can use VR now, you just need to wear it on your eyes and you can see everything in 3D, this will make you feel that you are present on the spot. But the sound can give a little headache which is bearable so you can ignore this disadvantage to have an amazing experience.
In conclusion, for the sake first hand experience and development of technology the disadvantages can be ignore easily.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, and you refer to travel, social media and virtual reality to support this view. These are relevant examples, but the response only partly develops the comparison asked for. The discussion mainly explains how people can explore other cultures; it does not clearly establish broader advantages or examine meaningful disadvantages. The VR “headache” is mentioned, but its significance is dismissed rather than weighed against the benefits. Some claims, such as people’s interest in exploration, remain general and would be stronger with a specific example or explanation of how greater cultural knowledge benefits individuals or society. Develop both sides more fully and link each example directly to your overall judgement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can follow its general focus. However, progression within the body paragraphs is not always clear. The first paragraph moves from interest in exploration to travel and then social media without explaining how these points connect. The second begins with technology, shifts to buying cosmetics, and then discusses VR, so its central argument becomes diffuse. Linking phrases such as “In addition” and “On the other hand” are used, but the latter does not introduce a clear opposing view. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, use transitions that accurately show the relationship between ideas, and make the conclusion reflect the comparison developed in the essay.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “international traveling,” “heritage,” “social media apps,” “first hand experience” and “VR.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural. Examples include “media chanels,” “peoples live,” “weather” where you mean “whether,” and “a international trip.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “get real life experience on it” and “know about others culture.” Aim for accurate collocations and forms, and check spelling carefully. More precise language for cultural exchange and its effects would help you explain your argument without relying on broad or repetitive wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if they don't get enough time then they use variety of social media apps” and a relative clause in “which is bearable.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some parts difficult to read. For example, “Technology have come so far” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “the disadvantages can be ignore” uses the wrong verb form. Articles and sentence construction also need attention in “get a international trip” and “weather traveling is so time consuming or not.” Practise building accurate clauses and checking agreement, articles and verb forms before adding more complexity; clearer punctuation would also help separate ideas.
