Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argued that ease of travelling abroad and the network of mass media around the world made it possible than ever for people to know how individuals spend their life in different countries. This essay will disscuss the advantanges and disadvantages of this wide spread network of media.

First and foremost, technologies play significant role in travelling and media, individuals can gather information on one click and made our lives essay, now people prefer to stay home and explore world on their laptops. This is primarily because of world has changed and the pace of work increase, due to dense media network people aware more about internation events and know how different people spend their lives. The prime example of this can be seen in social media platform where everyone makes vlogs and express their way of living. People take the advantage of this and perform their reserach by staying at home. Consequently, it leads toward the more informed nation.

On the other hand, network of media provide us alot of false information. Most of them are wrong and very few are correct. People need to filter out the wrong or false news which took alot of time. The underlying rationale of is that verified and authentic information gathering but it took too much time and burn alot of money. The clear illustration of this is evident in Reddit the social media website where people post their knowledge but there is not validators for this , some people use that in their research. which ends up as a devastated results.

In conclusion, I would say it's benifits outweight the disadvantages if we use this diligently and verify its source.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both the benefits and drawbacks and give a clear final view that the benefits outweigh the disadvantages if information is checked. The benefit of learning about other lifestyles through social media and the concern about false information are relevant to the prompt. However, the response only partly develops the comparison: the opening says the essay will discuss advantages and disadvantages, but the main argument does not clearly explain how international travel itself helps people understand life abroad. The Reddit example illustrates unreliable information, yet its consequences are not fully explained. To strengthen the response, state your position more clearly in the introduction and develop each main point with a specific explanation of how it affects cross-cultural understanding. (The response meets the required length.)

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “First and foremost,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers identify the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from technology and travel to staying home, then to work pace and social-media vlogs without consistently linking these points to the central question. Some connections are also awkward or incomplete, as in “The underlying rationale of is that…” and “which ends up as a devastated results.” Build each paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it in a clear sequence; use linking phrases to show relationships rather than relying mainly on formulaic transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “mass media,” “international events,” “verified and authentic information,” and “research,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “made our lives essay” appears to mean “made our lives easier,” while “dense media network” and “devastated results” are not natural expressions in this context. Spelling errors such as “disscuss,” “advantanges,” “alot,” and “benifits” are also noticeable. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe “misleading information” and explain that it can “lead to unreliable conclusions.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “This is primarily because…” and a conditional idea in the conclusion. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to follow. Examples include “made it possible than ever,” “technologies play significant role,” and “the pace of work increase.” The sentence beginning “The underlying rationale of is that…” is incomplete, while the Reddit example contains a sentence fragment after “research.” Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them; check tense consistency, singular and plural agreement, articles, and punctuation when editing.
