Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the key features of the graphs and the table. You provided a clear overview and selected relevant data points to support your description. However, there are some inaccuracies in your interpretation of the data; for instance, you state the graphs show data 'before the installation of speed cameras,' whereas the prompt indicates the period is 'since the introduction of speed cameras.' Additionally, some data points are slightly misread, such as the fatality figures. To reach a higher band, ensure your overview accurately reflects the timeframe and trends, and double-check the precision of the figures cited from the charts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is logically organized into paragraphs, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs covering the graphs and the table separately. You use some cohesive devices like 'However,' 'While,' and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by short, choppy sentences and some mechanical use of transitions. For example, the transition 'Later it was gradually increased' is slightly awkward. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences flow more naturally into one another to create a more cohesive narrative.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illustrate,' 'dramatically,' and 'fatalities.' However, there are some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'causalities by road accidents' (should be 'fatalities from road accidents') and 'survey conduct on' (should be 'survey conducted on'). There is also a slight repetition of basic structures. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and ensure that your word choices are contextually accurate, which will help you move toward a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include '60% people said no in the positive outcome' (should be '60% of people said there was no positive outcome') and 'remained same for next year' (missing articles). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to limit your score. Focus on proofreading for basic errors like missing articles and prepositions to improve your accuracy.
