Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response attempts to describe the trends but fails to address the task fully. You have omitted the survey data entirely, which is a key component of the prompt. Furthermore, the description of the graphs is inaccurate; for example, you refer to the currency as 'rupees' when the context implies a count of drivers/fatalities, and the data interpretation is inconsistent with the visual information provided. To improve, ensure you report all parts of the prompt, including tables, and focus on accurately summarizing the main trends rather than listing individual data points without clear context.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While you use some linking words like 'Overall' and 'In comparison', their usage is often mechanical or incorrectly placed. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is disjointed. The conclusion includes personal opinions ('yes speed cameras, improve road safety') which is inappropriate for an Academic Task 1 report. Focus on using cohesive devices to link ideas more naturally and ensure each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that contributes to the overall summary.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate. You use words like 'future' when you likely meant 'features', and 'ware' instead of 'were'. The repetition of basic verbs like 'increase' and 'decrease' limits your score. Additionally, the misuse of 'rupees' suggests a lack of attention to the data labels. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate a wider range of vocabulary related to trends, such as 'fluctuate', 'climb', 'plummet', or 'plateau', and ensure you are using terms that accurately reflect the data provided in the prompt.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('road accident fatalities was fluctuated'), tense usage ('it have 3000'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack proper punctuation, making the text difficult to follow. You rely heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring consistent verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like subject-verb agreement and pluralization.
