Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers all parts of the task by describing both the line graph and the survey tables. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you correctly identify the upward trend in fines and the fluctuations in fatalities, the description of the tables is a list of figures rather than a synthesis of the data. To reach a higher band, you should focus on highlighting key features and making meaningful comparisons between the data points, rather than simply listing percentages. The overview is present but lacks a clear summary of the most significant trends, such as the inverse relationship between the rise in cameras and the public's skepticism regarding their purpose.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Firstly', and 'Furthermore'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Apart from this, there are plenty of cameras on road argued by 56% people'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using more varied linking phrases and ensuring that referencing is precise. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the graph data from the survey data.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'minor people' (instead of 'a minority of people') and 'masses' (which is not the most accurate term for survey respondents). There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'the line graph faced escalating' and 'the statistics reached at'. To improve, you should focus on using more academic vocabulary related to data description, such as 'upward trend', 'significant proportion', or 'fluctuated marginally'. Spelling is generally accurate, but word choice often hinders the clarity of your analysis.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include 'The line graph demonstrate' (subject-verb agreement), 'minor people are do not know' (incorrect verb construction), and 'cameras might be reduced' (incorrect passive voice). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tenses would significantly improve your score.
