Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers all parts of the task, including the line graphs and the survey tables. You have identified key features, such as the sharp increase in fines from year 6 to 8 and the public perception regarding revenue generation. However, the report lacks a clear overview or summary of the main trends, which is essential for Task 1. Additionally, some data points are slightly inaccurate or lack precision, such as the description of accident fatalities. To improve, ensure you provide a clear 'overview' paragraph that highlights the most significant trends across the data sets without listing specific figures.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate (e.g., 'further more, road accident', 'overall,it can be seeemed as'). The transition between the graph analysis and the table analysis is abrupt. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that punctuation around these devices is correct. Improving the logical flow between sentences would help the report feel more cohesive and professional.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the main points, such as 'gradual increase', 'sharp increase', and 'revenue'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'most of people' instead of 'most people', and 'there are too much cameras' instead of 'too many cameras'. Some phrases are repetitive, and the phrasing 'it can be seeemed as' is non-standard. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure subject-verb agreement when using quantifiers like 'most' or 'many'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Issues include missing articles (e.g., 'in the road accident fatalities'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'most of people thinks'), and punctuation errors (e.g., spacing after commas). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. To improve, focus on basic subject-verb agreement and ensure that you proofread for missing articles and consistent punctuation usage.
