Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. Furthermore, the content is severely underdeveloped. You have not described the data accurately; for instance, you refer to 'speed of camera' as a percentage, which is likely a misinterpretation of the graph's axes. You have also completely ignored the survey tables provided in the prompt. To improve, you must ensure you cover all parts of the task, including the tables, and provide a more detailed analysis of the trends and key features shown in the data.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. While there is an attempt at an introduction and an overview, the body paragraphs are extremely brief and lack logical progression. Cohesive devices are almost entirely absent, making the text feel disjointed. For example, the transition 'Then, it was again follow the upward trend' is grammatically incorrect and does not effectively link ideas. To improve, you should use clear paragraphing to separate different aspects of the data and employ linking words such as 'furthermore', 'in contrast', or 'consequently' to connect your sentences and ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The range of vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'speed' and 'number' without demonstrating the ability to use more precise academic vocabulary related to data description. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'at the begin of period' instead of 'at the beginning of the period'. To achieve a higher band, you need to incorporate a wider range of vocabulary, including synonyms for 'increase' (e.g., 'climb', 'surge') and more accurate terminology to describe the data points and trends.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'the graph follow a upward trend' (subject-verb agreement), 'the camera fines higher than' (missing verb), and 'the speed of cameras was rose' (incorrect passive voice construction). The sentence structures are simple and lack variety. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct use of tenses when describing past data. You should also practice forming complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions to demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
