SPEED CAMERA FINES and ROAD ACCIDENT FATALITIES
Student answer (Band 4.0)
The line graphs give the information between the count of riders who capture by the cameras that placed on the road by Britain, or the number of humans killed in the road accidents. The number of over speed fine was grow to much in the other hand road accident fatalities in a flow.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response attempts to address the task but fails to accurately interpret the data. The student misidentifies the content of the graphs and tables, leading to a confusing summary. For instance, the claim that 'the fine was grow almost up to 10%' and 'it also reduce 32% road accidents' lacks clarity and does not accurately reflect the trends shown in the provided visual data. Furthermore, the response fails to integrate the survey results from the tables, which is a key part of the prompt. The information is presented in a disjointed manner, making it difficult for the reader to follow the trends or understand the relationship between the variables.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The response lacks logical organization and progression. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the ideas within the paragraphs are not clearly linked. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and often inaccurate, such as the abrupt transition 'Over all we can see the fine chart'. The referencing is frequently unclear, making it difficult to determine which data point the student is referring to. The overall structure is fragmented, and the lack of clear signposting prevents the reader from following the intended analysis of the graphs and tables.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is very limited and often inappropriate for an academic report. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'riders who capture by the cameras' instead of 'drivers caught by cameras' and 'the fine was grow to much'. The student relies on basic, repetitive language and struggles to express numerical trends accurately. The misuse of terms like 'fine chart' instead of 'graph' or 'data' further hinders the clarity of the report. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the information effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There is a lack of control over basic sentence structures, with many sentences being fragmented or poorly constructed, such as 'The number of over speed fine was grow to much in the other hand road accident fatalities in a flow.' Verb tense usage is inconsistent, and there are significant issues with subject-verb agreement and word order. Complex sentence structures are attempted but are almost always faulty, leading to confusion. Punctuation is also used incorrectly throughout the text.
