Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The writer addresses the task by describing the graphs, but there are gaps in the explanation of trends and details. Phrases like "the people who killed in road accidents" are unclear and should be phrased correctly as "the number of people killed in road accidents." Also, some numbers are inaccurately represented, affecting clarity. The overall structure lacks clear comparisons of data, which is crucial for achieving a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
There is some coherence in the response, but it suffers from awkward sentence constructions, such as "the main reason of installation of speed camera was to raise revenue." Transitions between ideas are sometimes unclear or abrupt. Phrasing should be improved for better flow, like "Overall, camera fines due to speed increased" could be smoother as, "Overall, fines for speeding increased over the years."
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used in the response includes some correct terms, but many expressions are imprecise or poorly structured. Phrases like "the individuals opinion" should be "individuals' opinions", and terms like "too many" or "too few" are overly simplistic. The use of relative frequencies (like 'about 200000') should be clarified for precision, as it affects the overall understanding of the data presented.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
Grammatical range varies, but there are many grammatical errors that detract from the clarity of the writing. For example, phrases like "the people who killed" should be restructured to "the number of people who were killed." Additionally, there is inconsistency in subject-verb agreement and sentence fragmentation, such as unhedged statements that could be more academically precise. A review of grammar rules regarding plural forms is needed.
Overall feedback
The response provides a basic overview of the trends illustrated in the graphs, but several improvements are necessary for a higher band score. Focus on clarity by ensuring accuracy in the representation of data, particularly with numerical information. Improve vocabulary range by using more sophisticated and precise terms. Additionally, refine grammatical structures to produce grammatically correct and complete sentences. Practicing these areas will enhance overall coherence and clarity.
