Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. Furthermore, the content is severely underdeveloped. You have only described a small portion of the data and completely ignored the survey tables provided in the prompt. To achieve a higher band, you must provide a comprehensive overview of all data sets, including the survey results, and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for sufficient development of your points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response is very short, making it difficult to assess paragraphing or the use of cohesive devices. There is a lack of logical progression between the few sentences provided. The use of 'And where as' is grammatically incorrect and does not function well as a cohesive link. To improve, you should structure your report with a clear introduction, an overview of the main trends, and separate paragraphs for the different data sets, using a variety of linking words to connect your ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'rapid increase' and 'constant' are appropriate, but the range is too limited to demonstrate flexibility. There are also errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'falalities' (fatalities) and 'occured' (occurred). To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'a significant upward trend'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains several grammatical errors that hinder clarity. For example, 'As compared from the year 1 to year 8' is awkward phrasing, and '2,00,000 camera fines have' is an incomplete sentence. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, which are necessary for higher band scores. You should focus on using a mix of simple and complex sentences while ensuring subject-verb agreement and correct punctuation.
