Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response covers all parts of the task, including both the line graphs and the survey tables. You have identified the key trends, such as the increase in fines and the fluctuation in accident rates, and provided a clear overview. However, the data reporting is slightly inaccurate in places; for instance, you wrote '800,00' and '1,600,00' instead of '800,000' and '1,600,000'. Additionally, the summary of the survey results is a bit mechanical. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are transcribed accurately and that the comparison between the two data sets is more integrated rather than just listing the figures.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In contrast', 'Moreover', and 'However' to link ideas. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes slightly disjointed. For example, the transition between the line graph data and the survey results could be smoother. Additionally, some referencing is slightly awkward, such as 'mostly people believed', which should be 'the majority of people believed'. Overall, the structure is clear and easy to follow, but the use of cohesive devices could be more sophisticated to improve the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information, using terms like 'accounted for', 'declined', and 'peaking'. However, there are some noticeable errors in word choice and spelling. For example, 'over speeding' should be 'speeding', and 'ccidents' is a spelling error. You also used 'too many was installed', which is grammatically incorrect and uses imprecise vocabulary. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that you are using the correct forms of words (e.g., 'the majority of people' instead of 'mostly people').

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. Examples include 'mostly people believed' (incorrect adverb usage), 'too many was installed' (subject-verb agreement error), and the inconsistent use of commas. There are also errors in numerical representation, such as '800,00' instead of '800,000'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the report, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Increasing your control over subject-verb agreement and punctuation would significantly improve your accuracy.
