Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response covers all parts of the task, including the graphs and the survey tables. However, the reporting of data is somewhat inaccurate; for instance, the text states '1600,000' for the 8th year, which is a misreading of the graph. Additionally, the description of the trends is quite basic. While the main features are identified, the lack of precision in data reporting and the limited analytical depth prevent a higher score. To improve, ensure that data points are read accurately and that comparisons between the different categories are more clearly articulated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and often mechanical. Transitions between sentences are frequently missing or awkward, such as the abrupt start to the third paragraph. The referencing is also unclear at times, and the overall flow of information feels disjointed. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'in contrast', 'consequently') to connect ideas more logically and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are several instances of inappropriate word choice, such as 'speedy driving' instead of 'speeding' and 'human been murderd' instead of 'fatalities' or 'deaths'. Spelling errors are frequent (e.g., 'catargory', 'camra', 'find' instead of 'fined'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the information with precision. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to data description and road safety, and proofread carefully to eliminate basic spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'The survey have 3 question'), incorrect verb forms, and punctuation errors. These errors are noticeable and occasionally make the text difficult to follow. There is little evidence of complex sentence structures. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct tense usage and subject-verb agreement, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
