Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have successfully identified the main trends in the graphs and the key data from the survey. However, the report lacks precision in data reporting. For instance, you mention the number of fines increased from 2,00,000 to 16,00,000, but the graph shows the scale in thousands, meaning these figures are inaccurate. Furthermore, the description of the survey results is somewhat vague and lacks a clear comparison between the categories. To improve, ensure you accurately transcribe data points and provide a more analytical overview that synthesizes the relationship between the two sets of data rather than just listing them.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Overall', 'In contrast', and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the transition between the graph data and the survey table is abrupt. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through the information presented.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'road misfortune' and 'mischance' to describe accidents, which are not standard collocations in this context. Additionally, 'casualites' is misspelled. You rely on basic vocabulary to describe trends. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic terminology such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'a significant upward trend' to describe the data more professionally and accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'people opinions in survey' (missing possessive), 'speed camera does not reduce' (subject-verb agreement), and 'judgement of number of people suppose that' (awkward phrasing). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Proofreading for basic sentence structure errors will help you achieve a higher score.
