Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the key features of the charts and tables, providing a clear overview of the trends and survey results. You covered all parts of the task, including the comparison between speed camera fines and fatalities, as well as the public opinion data. However, the report could be improved by providing more precise data points; for instance, stating 'around 1.6 million' is good, but ensuring all figures are accurately referenced from the graph would strengthen the response. The summary is well-integrated, and the main trends are clearly highlighted, meeting the requirements for a Band 7.0 performance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs focusing on specific data sets. You use transition signals such as 'Regarding' and 'Moving towards' to guide the reader. However, some cohesive devices are used slightly mechanically, and there are minor issues with punctuation, such as the space before the comma in 'While ,'. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring more sophisticated linking words would elevate the score. Overall, the information is presented in a coherent manner that is easy to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'casualties', 'perceive', and 'installation' appropriately. There are some minor errors in word choice, such as 'The combination of charts represent' (should be 'represents') and 'it is vivid' (which is not a standard collocation in this context; 'it is evident' would be better). While you attempt to use a variety of words, the range is somewhat limited, and there is a reliance on simpler phrasing. To reach a higher band, focus on more precise academic collocations and avoid slight inaccuracies in word usage.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. However, there are several grammatical slips, such as 'that have caught driving' (should be 'that have been caught driving') and 'the number casualties' (missing 'of'). Additionally, there are punctuation errors, such as unnecessary spaces before commas and inconsistent capitalization. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and missing prepositions will help improve your accuracy.
