Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to cover the provided data, but it fails to accurately report the key features. For instance, the figure '1,6000,000' is incorrectly formatted and lacks clarity. The description of the trends is vague, and the comparison between the graph and the survey tables is poorly integrated. The response lacks a clear overview of the main trends, which is essential for Task 1. Furthermore, the data interpretation is inconsistent, and some figures are presented in a way that makes them difficult to follow. To improve, you must focus on identifying the most significant trends and reporting them with precision, ensuring that all parts of the prompt are addressed clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences and ideas is weak. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as the abrupt transition 'While, The 60%...' and 'On other hand'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of information. The structure lacks a cohesive overview, and the connection between the graph data and the survey results is disjointed. To achieve a higher score, you should use a wider range of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear central topic that flows logically into the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The range of vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'stabilisation between 3000 to 3500 time period' and 'raise the revenue of installation'. The use of 'ratio' to describe percentages is inaccurate. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the reliance on basic vocabulary hinder the quality of the report. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'accounted for', and ensure that you use words in their correct collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with article usage ('the 60% of the population'), subject-verb agreement ('71% of the people says'), and sentence structure ('This line graph shows... and also display...'). The attempt at complex sentences is limited, and the punctuation is often incorrect, particularly with commas. The number formatting '1,6000,000' is also a significant error. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and practicing the correct use of articles and prepositions. Proofreading for these common errors is essential.
