IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The graphs below show the number of drivers in Britain who have been caught driving too fast by speed cameras placed on roads, and the number of people killed in road accidents, over an eight-year period since the introduction of speed cameras. The tables show the results of a survey on people's opinions on speed cameras.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

SPEED CAMERA FINES and ROAD ACCIDENT FATALITIES

Student answer (Band 4.5)

The graph illustrates the speed camera fines and road accident fatalities from the past 8 years of Britain. The number of drivers in Britain have been caught driving too fast by speed camera which increases the number of road accidents. Road accidents are increasing day by day in this busy life.

Initially, I put my sight on sped camera fines from past 8 years. Nevertheless, it increases from 200,000 to 1,600,000. During the first year it was two hundred thousand and by the years it increases significantly.

Secondly, the road accident fatalities are affected a little bit by the use of speed cameras. However, if we see the ratio pf past three years it about 3,000. Little changes have been taken placed such as it decreased a bit and then climbed up. Moreover, it get stuck on 3,000.

From my perspective, speed cameras reduces the number of accidents by mere 32%. In which I do not agree with it by 60%. On the other hand, speed camera also has ew advantages. Main reasons for installation of speed camera is to improve road safety and to prevent road accidents.

Taking everything in account, I would think here will be about half of the cameras on the road. There will be two or more cameras on every road. Usually, in my opinion, speed cameras are an efficient step from government to reduce accidents.
