The graphs below show the number of drivers in Britain who have been caught driving too fast by speed cameras placed on roads, and the number of people killed in road accidents, over an eight-year period since the introduction of speed cameras. The tables show the results of a survey on people's opinions on speed cameras.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.
SPEED CAMERA FINES and ROAD ACCIDENT FATALITIES
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The line graphs illustrated the information on the speed camera fines and road accident fatalities over an eight year period and the table present the information about speed cameras.
Overall, it can be seen that fines and accident on roads increasing over the eight year period while people's preception about the speed camers said that most of the people think that the installation of cameras were to raise revenue.
At the beggining of the year the fine was only [redacted phone] which later increase in increasing rate and reached [redacted phone] in the last year of survey. The number of road accident were stable form the beggining of the period, the accident number flauctuated around 3000 over the period of time.
Regarding the survey which was done for speed cameras, 60% of people said speed cameras doesn't reduce accidents. while 32% think camares reduce accidents on roads. 71% of population think cameras were install only to generate revenue while 26% think to improve road safety and 56% think there are too many speed cameras and
