The graphs below show the number of drivers in Britain who have been caught driving too fast by speed cameras placed on roads, and the number of people killed in road accidents, over an eight-year period since the introduction of speed cameras. The tables show the results of a survey on people's opinions on speed cameras.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

SPEED CAMERA FINES and ROAD ACCIDENT FATALITIES

The graphs explain the number of drivers in Britain who have been caught driving too fast by speed cameras placed on roads and the number of people killed in road accidents, over an eight-year period. The survey of people's opinion on speed cameras were shown in the table.

Overall, the fines for the drivers were raised from 200,000 to 1,600,000 over the 8 years, while the number of road accidents were almost 3200 to 3400.

It is shown that almost 2 lac fine were generated in the 1st year and it almost doubled in the fourth year. Similarly almost 6 lac fine were collected in the fifth year which were raised to 8 lac in the next year and reached to 1,200,000 in the 7th year. The total amount of fine generated at the last year was approximately 1,600,000.

It is clear from the survey that majority of people do not agree with the statement that speed cameras are reducing the no. of road accidents, and only 32% of people agree with this. 71% people believe that speed cameras are installed to raise the revenue. 19% of the people think that the number of cameras are quite few and 56% of people saud cameras are too many, while only 17% agree that there are right number of cameras on the road.
