IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The graphs below show the number of drivers in Britain who have been caught driving too fast by speed cameras placed on roads, and the number of people killed in road accidents, over an eight-year period since the introduction of speed cameras. The tables show the results of a survey on people's opinions on speed cameras.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

SPEED CAMERA FINES and ROAD ACCIDENT FATALITIES

The line graphs show that speed limits have been reached in great number of times and its ratio has been going to increase day by day. Due to such traffic rule violations, the death troll caused by road accidents is being enhanced on a daily basis. Though it showed to be in control in a way for a little period of time, it eventually it again got a rise and is moving up constantly, at present.

People think that there are too many cameras on the roads. According to them, the installation of such cameras is just for the sake of generating money. People do not think about it as a safety measure to keep people aware on the speed limits on the roads. Speed cameras are not installed to generate money but are a crucial step taken by the government to reduce road accidents. Huge fines for breaking traffic rules do not compensate the lives of road accident victims. But people are not into such thinking, they always see the negative sides of speed cameras which are installed only for our own safety.
