Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response attempts to cover both the line graphs and the survey tables, but it falls significantly short of the 150-word minimum requirement (containing only 146 words before abruptly stopping mid-sentence). While an overview is provided and some key data points from the graphs are mentioned (such as the rise in fines and the fluctuation in fatalities), the description is incomplete due to the cut-off ending. The survey tables are barely touched upon in the overview and omitted in the body paragraphs. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed, earning a band score of 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay attempts to use paragraphing, separating the introduction, overview, and body details, but the structure breaks down as the text terminates prematurely. Cohesive devices are basic and sometimes misused, such as comma splices ('Overall,The road accidents...' and 'However, charges on overspeed...'). The logical progression is hindered by the abrupt ending, where a sentence trails off entirely ('The answers from populace to the question of number of accidents on road have any link to'). Paragraphing is poorly executed due to the short, fragmented sentences, resulting in a score of 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is somewhat limited and repetitive. The student attempts some less common terms like 'casualties' and 'perspectives', but also relies on unnatural phrasing and inappropriate word choices, such as 'overspeeding' (instead of speeding), '2 lac' (an Indian English regionalism unsuitable for formal IELTS reports), and 'road accidents fertilties' (a severe misspelling and misinterpretation of 'fatalities'). Word formation and collocation errors are noticeable, though they generally do not completely obscure the meaning until the very end. This performance fits the Band 5 descriptor.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control is weak. There are frequent punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas ('Overall,The', 'period. However,'), comma splices, and incorrect prepositions ('captured when overspeeding by the cameras installed on different locations'). Furthermore, the response contains a glaring unfinished sentence at the end. Although basic sentence structure is sometimes maintained, the density of grammatical and mechanical errors prevents the text from reaching a higher band, justifying a score of 5.0.
