Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main upward trend in fines and note that fatalities fluctuate, which gives the report a relevant overview. However, the task is only partly covered: the fatality figures are described as a “proportion,” although they are numbers of deaths, and the claim that they rose from over 3,000 to approximately 3,500 misses the fluctuations and the relatively small overall change. The survey section is especially underdeveloped. You report that most respondents thought cameras did not reduce accidents, but omit the key percentages and do not describe the findings on revenue (71%) or the number of cameras (56% said too many). Include the main survey results and compare the chart trends more accurately.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the graph and tables. Linking phrases such as “Overall,” “In addition,” and “Looking in the line chart more detail” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression is limited because the final paragraph names the survey topics without reporting their results, and “Tables despite many opinions of people” does not form a clear connection to the overview. Some transitions are awkward or repetitive, and references such as “In other table” are not precise. Organise the body into a paragraph on the two graph trends and one on the survey, using clear comparisons and linking each key figure to its topic.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “increased,” “fluctuated trends,” “fatalities,” and “installation,” and the reader can generally identify the subject of each section. However, the range and control are limited, with several inaccurate or unnatural expressions that make parts difficult to understand: “people who death,” “table graps,” and “people prespective.” There is also imprecise wording in “the proportion of people” and “the amount of speed camera fines”; the data concern a number of deaths and a number of fines. Spelling errors such as “illustatre,” “thar,” and “frist” are noticeable. Aim for accurate chart-reporting terms and check spelling and collocations before finishing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of sentence forms, including a complex opening with “while” and an overview contrasting the two trends with “whereas.” However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to follow. For example, “over the 8 years period” has an incorrect article and number pattern, while “started with over 3000 in frist year to reached” combines incompatible verb forms and omits an article. “Tables despite many opinions of people” is also an incomplete sentence. Subject–verb agreement and sentence construction need attention. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use consistent past-tense forms when describing the eight-year data.
