Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You include both the line graph and the survey, and you identify two important overall points: fines rose substantially, while fatalities stayed broadly stable, and most respondents were sceptical about cameras. However, the report only partially covers the data and contains a notable inaccuracy: fines in year 6 were about 780,000, not 700,000. The fatalities are described as remaining between 3,000 and 3,300, although they reached roughly 3,350 in year 8. The survey summary omits the 32% who answered yes and the smaller response categories. There is no clear, complete overview of the main patterns. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Add a concise overview and select accurate, representative figures for each visual.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic sequence: it first describes the graphs and then turns to public opinion. Phrases such as “In contrast” and “Regarding public opinion” help signal these shifts, so the reader can generally follow the intended topics. However, the information is compressed into two paragraphs, and the first paragraph moves quickly from fines to fatalities without clearly separating the trends or giving an overview. The survey details are crowded into one long sentence, with repeated references to cameras and roads. Some links are awkward or unclear, including “when asked them about main reason.” Use distinct paragraphs for the graph overview and survey findings, and connect each comparison explicitly to improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “fines,” “sharp increase,” “in contrast,” “public opinion,” and “raise revenue.” These choices show an attempt to describe trends and report survey results. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the report less clear: “opnion,” “sucessful,” “percrent,” and “instalation.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “the two lines graph” and “showing no down than 3000.” Aim for accurate collocations such as “line graph,” “remained broadly stable,” and “respondents believed.” Check spelling carefully and use a wider range of precise verbs for increases, stability, and survey responses.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, for example, the sentence beginning “On the other hand” combines several survey findings. However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships difficult to understand. The opening has agreement and article problems (“The two lines graph illustrate”) and an incomplete construction (“over eight year period”). In “In one year around 200000 fines were,” the verb phrase is unfinished; later, “this figure gradually rose 700000” lacks a preposition and a clear year construction. Sentence boundaries and capitalization are also inconsistent, as in “year 6.there.” Practise complete sentences with accurate articles, plurals, verb forms, and punctuation, and separate the survey findings into shorter, controlled statements.
