Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify the broad topics and give an overview that fines rose while fatalities changed little. However, the report only minimally covers the visual information: it gives no accurate year-by-year figures and misinterprets the survey. For example, “The speed cameras ruduces the number of accident by 32%” turns the 32% who answered yes into a reduction in accidents, while 60% actually said cameras do not reduce accidents. The claim that the main focus is not revenue also conflicts with the 71% who selected raising revenue. The comments about red lights and seat belts are not shown in the data. The response is 146 words, below the 150-word minimum. Include the key trends and survey results accurately, and avoid unsupported claims.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the report: an opening sentence is followed by an overview and then comments on the survey. The contrast introduced by “Overall” and “While” helps signal the main trends. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the graphs and survey findings are mixed together, and several statements do not connect clearly. For instance, “The main focus of installing camra not to earn revenue but also aware people how to drive” is followed by the revenue figure without a clear explanation of the relationship. The final sentence about cameras on main roads is isolated. Use separate paragraphs for the graph trends and survey results, and link each point clearly to the relevant data.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some task-related vocabulary, including “speed cameras,” “road accidents,” “revenue,” and “road safety,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, vocabulary is often inaccurate or repetitive, and spelling errors make the report less clear: “exessive,” “raod,” “ruduces,” “magnificantly,” and “camra.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “captured riding an excessive” and “the number of humans who died.” Use precise chart language and standard collocations, for example “drivers caught speeding,” “fatalities,” and “the number of fines rose.” Check spelling carefully and avoid adding phrases such as “stop on the red light” when they are not supported by the visual data.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response includes some simple sentences and attempts a contrast, as in “While, the number of humans who died … remain same but there is a minor changes.” However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors frequently affect clarity. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “the fine … have increased” and “the number … remain,” missing articles in “remain same” and “by speed cameras installed in the roads,” and faulty sentence construction in “The main focus of installing camra not to earn revenue but also aware people how to drive.” The opening sentence is also incomplete after “exessive.” Practise complete sentence patterns, agreement, articles, and plural forms; then proofread each sentence to ensure its meaning is clear.
