SPEED CAMERA FINES and ROAD ACCIDENT FATALITIES
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The line graph presents the number of drivers who have been caught while driving fast by speed cameras in Britain and people being killed in the accidents during that period over eight years after speed cameras installation. The table represents the opinion on speed cameras by people.
Overall, the number of speed camera fine steadily increased overtime, coming at almost 1,600,000 individuals. In contrast, road accident fatalities were inbetween 3000 through all eight years. The survey showed most of the people agreeing on to raise revenue by 71% and only 3% individuals from that survey marked don't know, being that the lowest.
The speed cameras showed 200,000 people driving fast in the first year however it gradually increased by going till 400,000 individuals in third year. After the fifth year, the number of people driving fast increased by being almost 800,000 in 6th year and going up till 1,600,000 showing the highest number of individuals invovled for fines. Whereas the number of road accidents remained under 3500, fluctuating in between but not more or less than that.
Furthermore, the surveys showed that 60% of the people said no for speed cameras reducing accidents whereas 32% and 8% marked yes and don't know respectively. In the second one, 71% asked to raise revenue while 26% sugested to improve road safety and 3% mentioning don't know. the last oned involves moix reviwes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover the graphs and survey, and your overview identifies the main contrast: fines rose substantially while fatalities stayed around 3,000. You also accurately report several survey results, including 60% answering “no” and 71% believing the cameras were installed to raise revenue. Some details, however, are incomplete or imprecise. Fatalities fluctuated around 3,100–3,350, rather than simply remaining “inbetween 3000,” and the final survey question about the number of cameras is not meaningfully described; “moix reviwes” leaves that information unclear. There are also inaccuracies in the fines figures: the third year was about 380,000, not 400,000, and the sixth year was about 780,000. A fuller account of the final survey and more precise comparisons would strengthen the report.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on the graphs, and a paragraph on survey findings. This gives the reader a generally coherent route through the information, and linking expressions such as “In contrast” and “Furthermore” help signal relationships. However, progression becomes less clear in places. The overview combines the fines trend with only one survey result, while the final paragraph moves through survey questions and ends with the unclear phrase “the last oned involves moix reviwes.” Some connections are also mechanical, particularly repeated uses of “whereas” and “while.” Grouping all survey findings more systematically and using clearer references to each question would make the organisation and cohesion more consistent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “speed cameras,” “road accident fatalities,” “fluctuating,” and “revenue,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range and control are limited by awkward or inaccurate word choices and collocations. For example, “the number of speed camera fine” is not a natural way to describe the data, and “individuals involved for fines” is unclear. “Marked don’t know” and “asked to raise revenue” also do not express the survey responses naturally. Spelling errors such as “invovled,” “sugested,” and “moix” further reduce precision. Aim for standard chart-reporting phrases and check spelling; this will help you describe trends and survey responses more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of sentence forms, including contrast clauses such as “In contrast” and “Whereas,” and most of the main ideas can be followed. However, some grammatical errors affect clarity and accuracy. Examples include “The line graph presents … and people being killed,” where the parallel structure is incomplete, and “the number of speed camera fine steadily increased,” which has problems with number and agreement. The phrase “inbetween 3000 through all eight years” also has an unclear grammatical relationship. Several long sentences join multiple ideas without clear punctuation, especially the sentence beginning “The speed cameras showed 200,000 people…” Practise accurate noun phrases, subject–verb agreement, and sentence boundaries while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
