Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the two broad trends and include several survey results, but the report only partially covers the visual information. The fines rise from 200,000 to 1,600,000, while fatalities fluctuate; however, the claim that fatalities ranged from 3,000 to 35,000 is a major misreading of the chart, whose values stay around 3,100–3,350. The survey statement that 56% “do not know” the number of cameras is also incorrect: 56% said there were too many, while 8% did not know. You omit the 32% who thought cameras reduce accidents and most of the camera-number responses. The response is also two words below the required minimum. Add an accurate overview and select key figures from both charts and all survey questions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, a brief overview, chart details, and survey findings. This gives the reader some organisation, and transitions such as “Moreover” and “On the other hand” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, there is no clear progression through the visual information: the report moves from trends to a single fines figure, then to survey results without systematically comparing the charts or grouping related data. Some linking is also awkward, particularly the sentence beginning “While 71% stated…”, which is left as a fragment. Organise the report into a clear overview followed by separate, logically ordered paragraphs for the charts and survey, and use linking words only where the relationship between ideas is clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of formal and topic-related vocabulary, including “imposition of penalties,” “gradual fluctuation,” and “divergent opinion.” These choices show ambition, but several are unnatural or inaccurate for describing charts: “rate of demise” and “the trend enumerates the fines” make the meaning less clear. “Ru pees” is not an appropriate unit here, and spelling errors such as “dtermination” and “fatalties” are noticeable. The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the general subject, but imprecise collocations and errors limit clarity. Prefer standard chart language such as “the number of fines increased” and “fatalities fluctuated,” and check spelling and the units shown in the task.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some more complex forms, including “it can be noticed that…” and “since the introduction of speed cameras.” However, control is uneven, and several sentence patterns are faulty. In “the imposition of penalties were significantly inclined,” the subject and verb do not agree, and the construction is not grammatically natural. “The fines ranged between…” is also incomplete in context, while “56% People” and “60% People” need a determiner or a different sentence structure. The final “While 71% stated…” clause is a fragment. Aim for direct, complete sentences with accurate agreement and articles, for example, “The number of fines increased, whereas fatalities fluctuated.”
