Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You cover both the charts and the survey, and include several relevant figures, such as fines rising from 200,000 to 1,600,000 and 71% believing cameras are installed to raise revenue. However, the report is only partially developed: it gives no clear overview of the main contrast between the sharp rise in fines and the broadly stable fatalities, and it does not summarise the survey’s overall pattern. Some details are inaccurate or unclear: fatalities did not simply rise slightly in the first year; they fluctuate around 3,100–3,350 throughout. The statements that 56% “think about the number” and 19% “answer about this view” do not explain that these respondents consider there to be too many or too few cameras. Select and describe the key trends and categories more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response follows a broadly sensible order: it first mentions the charts, then moves through the survey questions. Basic linking words such as “However” and “Furthermore” help show some relationships between points. Nevertheless, the report has little paragraph structure or clear progression, and the opening does not establish an overview before the details. Several short statements are joined mechanically, while references such as “this view” and “this question” are not always clear. Group the information into a brief introduction and overview, followed by separate paragraphs for the chart trends and survey results. Use linking phrases to show contrasts and comparisons, rather than simply listing each percentage.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “speed camera fines,” “road accident fatalities,” “significant increase,” and “fluctuate,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear. For example, “the amount of people who want to improve road safety” does not accurately describe the survey response, and “think about the number of speed cameras” fails to express whether respondents considered the number too high or too low. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “grapil,” “incresead,” “contast,” and “flucuate.” Learn precise language for reporting survey categories and trends, and check spelling before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a contrast introduced by “However,” but the range of structures is limited and errors occur frequently. Examples include “The speed camera fines ecperience significant incresead,” where the subject and verb pattern are not formed correctly, and “their position have been flucuate,” which has problems with agreement and verb form. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “the 8% people did not know about this.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. Practise accurate past-tense descriptions of chart data and complete sentence patterns, then check subject–verb agreement and punctuation in each sentence.
