Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover the main components of the task and provide a clear overview: fines rose substantially, while fatalities fluctuated and ended slightly higher. The figures of 200,000 and 1.6 million for fines, and the survey results of 60% and 32% on whether cameras reduce accidents, are accurately reported. This gives the report a solid factual basis. However, some details are incomplete or imprecise: fatalities did not decrease by the third year, as stated; they peaked around years two and three before falling. The final survey question is only summarised as “too many,” without its 56% share or comparison with the other responses. More precise coverage of these less-developed points would make the report more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction and overview to the charts and then the survey. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Talking about the surveys” help the reader follow the broad progression. The overview also brings the main trends together. However, some links are mechanical, and several long sentences combine multiple points without clear boundaries, particularly the sentence beginning “Talking about the surveys.” The repeated use of “whereas” and “by time” does not always express the relationship precisely. Separate the survey findings into clearer units and use more varied, accurate transitions. This would preserve the coherent overall arrangement while making progression and connections between details smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “fluctuating,” “significantly,” “majority,” and “raise revenue,” so the reader can understand the main comparisons. However, the range and control are limited by repeated, imprecise phrases such as “by time,” “amount of people,” and “the reason fo speed camera.” Several spelling errors—“spped,” “incresing,” “decresed,” and “choosen”—also make the writing less polished. In addition, “people been fined” is not a natural way to describe the chart, and “overspeeding” is less suitable than standard report language. Build a more precise set of trend and survey expressions, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, control is uneven: errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “The given diagrams illustrates” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “the amount of people have been fined” uses an unsuitable grammatical pattern. In “the road accidents have ben fluctuating … eventhough have increased slightly,” the clause structure is incomplete and the tense pattern is unclear. Some sentences also run together several ideas, as in the survey paragraph. Practise forming complete clauses with clear subjects and verbs, and check agreement and tense consistency when describing trends.
