Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover both graphs and the survey, and your overview identifies the main contrast: fines rose substantially, while fatalities fluctuated. The figures you select are broadly accurate, including the rise from 200,000 to 1,600,000 and the survey findings that 60% answered no and 71% believed cameras were installed to raise revenue. This gives the report a sound factual basis. To make the overview more precise, describe fatalities as remaining broadly stable rather than simply “unstable,” and note that they ended slightly higher than they began. The graph discussion is less developed than the survey summary: include a few intermediate points or describe the scale of the fines increase more clearly. Also report at least one other survey result, such as the 56% who thought there were too many cameras.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable report structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on the graphs and a final paragraph on the survey. This makes the information generally easy to follow, and phrases such as “Overall” and “Another question” help signal progression. However, the organisation within sentences is sometimes awkward, particularly in “from the 200000 people fines were charged” and “In third question people said 56% people said…”. These repetitions and unclear links make the final paragraph less smooth. Group the survey findings in a consistent sequence and use clear topic sentences to distinguish the graph trends from the opinions. More precise referencing and less repetition would make the cohesion more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “speed camera fines,” “road accident fatalities,” “increasing trend,” and “raise revenue,” so the reader can understand the main information. There is also some attempt to vary wording, for example “lost life” and “responded negatively.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “installment of cameras,” “numbers lied between,” and “people fines were charged.” These expressions reduce precision, especially when describing data. Spelling and word-form control also need attention in “eights year” and “people opinions.” Aim for standard chart-report collocations such as “the number of fines issued,” “fluctuated between,” and “the installation of cameras.” This would make your vocabulary more accurate and appropriately formal.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors in agreement, articles, plurals and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “The given graphs shows” needs subject–verb agreement, while “over an eight years period” has an incorrect plural and article pattern. The sentence beginning “In the first year, from the 200000…” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “71% people said that it to raise revenue” is missing a verb. Practise building accurate comparisons with a clear subject and verb, such as “The number of fines rose from… to…”. Check agreement and articles when editing, and use punctuation to separate complete ideas.
