Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover both the charts and the survey, and you identify the main contrast: fines rose substantially while fatalities fluctuated. The figures for fines are broadly accurate, including the rise from 200,000 to about 1.6 million, and you note that 60% did not think cameras reduced accidents and 71% believed revenue was the main reason. However, the overview is unclear in places, and some details are inaccurate or imprecise: fatalities began at about 3,150, not simply “more than 3000,” and ended at roughly 3,350; the survey’s 56% response is “too many,” not “many.” The survey’s 32% who answered yes and the 19% who thought there were too few are omitted. Select the key comparisons and report them precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure: it introduces the charts, describes the two trends, and then discusses the survey. This gives the reader some sense of how the report is organised. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, and linking expressions are sometimes repetitive or awkward. For example, “While” begins sentences without a clear contrast, and “Meanwhile, on the other hand” repeats the same linking function. The overview also mixes chart trends with survey opinions rather than clearly summarising the main findings. Use a separate overview after the introduction, then organise the details into chart and survey paragraphs. Clearer references and simpler transitions would make the relationships between points easier to understand.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt some task-relevant vocabulary, including “notable increase,” “decline,” “fluctuation,” and “installation,” and the reader can generally identify the topics being discussed. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning unclear. Phrases such as “involved in driving fast vehicles,” “huge number of fine,” and “voted to many” do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also spelling errors, including “crutial,” “accient,” and “obsrved.” Use precise terms such as “drivers caught speeding,” “number of fines,” and “considered there to be too many cameras.” Check spelling and collocations, and avoid repeating broad words such as “number” when a more exact noun is available.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt longer sentences and use some clauses to compare trends, but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the report difficult to read. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “The line chart illustrate” and “the number are,” while verb forms and sentence construction are problematic in “was reached to 16 lakhs” and “after the year it a fluctution trend was observed.” Articles, plurals, and punctuation also need attention; for example, “the number of road accident fatalities” requires a plural form, and several sentences run together after full stops. Build accuracy with shorter sentences first, then add controlled clauses using “while” or “whereas.” Check agreement, tense, and sentence boundaries during revision.
