Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the modern era, some countries, people believe that any one can do art work like music, literature, acting, art, etc. As a result people with no talent become rich and famous with the help of social media and genuine talent is not valued or appreciated by people. I agree with this statement and the reason behind my perspective in the upcoming paraghraph.

On the one hand, modern technology had easier to become popular because there are many types of socail media where people illustrate their talent like you tude, instagram, tiktok to large audience. for example when people upload their video like dance, singing they become more popular without any big company. Therefore nowadays there are many opportunities as compare than past.

On the other hand, there are multitude benefits of real talent in art work. Firstly the natural talent is still very important in human life because art work create uniqe and immpresive work it can help it future. When people have any type of art talent he can do work for earn money in big companies. They social media talent have short term but real talent have long term

In conclusion, i believe that every people must important to have skill talent like music, acting, art becase it can help in long term but social media have also good to become popular but i think people can see difficult in future. In there modern time there are many accadmies open for art work, so every people should visit that centers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a clear position—“I agree with this statement”—and discuss social media’s role in making people popular, as well as the value of artistic ability. However, the response only partially addresses the central claim: it does not clearly explain how people without talent become rich and famous or show how genuine artists are overlooked. The point that social-media fame is “short term” is relevant but is not supported with an example or explanation, and the discussion of academies in the conclusion is not developed. The response is also 21 words below the 250-word minimum; 24 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each main reason with a specific example and explain how it supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs introduced by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your ideas. However, progression within the paragraphs is limited, and the contrast between the two body paragraphs is not fully clear: the first describes opportunities to gain popularity, while the second asserts that real talent has long-term value without explaining the relationship between these points. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “it” and “they” in the third paragraph are unclear. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then connect the explanation and example explicitly. A clearer contrast and more precise referencing would make the overall progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “genuine talent,” “popular,” “social media,” and “long term,” so the reader can identify the general topic. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “people illustrate their talent” is not a natural way to describe sharing performances, and “multitude benefits of real talent in art work” is unclear. Spelling errors such as “uniqe,” “immpresive,” and “accadmies” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing artistic ability, recognition, and income, and check spelling and collocations. Using fewer repeated forms of “talent” and “popular” would also improve flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a cause-and-effect structure with “As a result” and a contrast using “On the other hand.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction and basic grammar occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to interpret. For example, “modern technology had easier to become popular” lacks a clear grammatical subject and verb pattern, while “When people have any type of art talent he can do work” has problems with agreement and sentence structure. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “every people” and the run-on final sentence. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
