Student answer (Band 5.0)

In contenporary society, many people are proficient about their works. There is attitide that 'anyone can do it' in the arts - music, literature, acting, art, etc. So that's why, individual with no talent become rich and aminent and genuine talent is not valued or appreciated. I strongly agree with this statement.

First and foremost, moder technology has mabe it much easier for people to become famous without any experience. This is because there are so many social media paltforms available in phone. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 119 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is severely limited. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the body paragraph is underdeveloped and lacks the necessary depth, examples, and logical progression required for an academic essay. The task asks for a discussion on the arts, but the response is too brief to explore the complexities of the prompt. To improve, you must expand your arguments with specific examples, counter-arguments, and a clear conclusion to ensure the task is fully addressed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into an introduction and one body paragraph, but the lack of length prevents a coherent structure from being fully established. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost' and 'As a result', but the progression of ideas is stunted by the brevity of the text. Paragraphing is present, but the overall flow is disjointed. To achieve a higher band, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that ideas are linked logically with a wider variety of cohesive devices.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and contains several spelling errors, such as 'contenporary' (contemporary), 'attitide' (attitude), 'aminent' (eminent), 'paltforms' (platforms), and 'enterteining' (entertaining). The range of vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. You rely on simple phrasing, which hinders the precision of your argument. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to the arts and media, and pay closer attention to spelling and word choice to ensure your writing is more professional and accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'individual with no talent become' (individuals... become) and 'person have not any genuine talent' (a person does not have any). Sentence structures are simple, and there is a lack of complex grammatical forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles. Practicing complex sentence structures, such as using relative clauses or conditional sentences, will also help increase your score.
