Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this comtemporary world, it is the view of many people in some countries that anyone can excel in the skills of art such as music, literature, acting, art, etc. Because of this, many talented people remain hidden and the untalented one gain popularity and become wealthy. I completely agree with the stance. Because of the inclusion of social media in our daily lives, there is no set criteria for being an artistic person and untalented people often over-shadowed the real artists by adding other irrelevant features in their content to attract larger audience.
Firstly, there are so many social media platforms where anyone can show their artistic abilities and become famous. People want to watch entertaining and popular content rather than the real art. They are inclined towards watching trendy vedios and photos. Anything that seems extra-ordinary become famous in no time, even if it is related to art or not. On the other hand, artists find it really hard to keep up with the current trends as they are focused on to improve their art. In this way, real art does not get the fame it deserve.
Secondly, people believe that having good gadgets to show the talent is more important than owing a talent itself. Other people thought that art is subjective, anyone can be an artist whether they have attended formal schooling to learn actual skill or not. In this way, influencers showing irrelevant content to gain more views and likes. For example, if a handsome person is making vedios of their dance gain more views and comments because audience is attracted towards his handsomeness rather than watching the actual dance and commenting on it. On the contrary, the real dancers find it hard to attract people.
To make the crux, I believe that on social media, only degree holders artist are allowed to make relevant content. If anyone tries to show their subjective talent must write the name of the artist from which s/he got the idea. Plus, while following any influencer people should think about the type of content s/he is trying to portray; if it is their beauty or any other irrelevant skill is the main part of thier content than atleast give a chance to real artist by unfollowing untalented person and find the actual art.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have clearly stated your position and maintained it throughout the essay. You address the prompt by discussing the impact of social media on the perception of talent. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat uneven. While the first body paragraph touches on the influence of trends, the second paragraph relies on a rather narrow example regarding 'handsome' people, which limits the depth of your argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more analytical and directly tied to the broader cultural shift you are discussing. The conclusion introduces new, prescriptive ideas about 'degree holders' which were not previously discussed, making the ending feel slightly disconnected from the earlier arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand' to link your points. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by mechanical phrasing and some awkward transitions. For instance, the phrase 'To make the crux' is not a standard academic transition. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as the shift in focus in the final paragraph. Improving the variety of your cohesive devices and ensuring that each paragraph flows more naturally into the next would strengthen the overall structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary', 'subjective', and 'portray'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'untalented one' (should be 'ones'), 'vedios' (spelling error), and 'degree holders artist' (should be 'degreed artists' or 'professionally trained artists'). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Focusing on correct collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing would help elevate your lexical score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the fluency of your writing. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('untalented people often over-shadowed' should be 'overshadow'), article usage ('the real art does not get the fame it deserve' should be 'deserves'), and awkward phrasing ('if it is their beauty or any other irrelevant skill is the main part of thier content'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument. Increasing your control over complex sentence structures and proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement would improve your score.
