Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the prompt but struggles to maintain a clear, consistent position. While you express disagreement with the idea that talent is undervalued, the arguments are repetitive and lack specific examples or logical development. The essay reads more like a series of disconnected statements rather than a structured argument. To improve, you should focus on clearly stating your position in the introduction and then providing one distinct, well-supported reason per paragraph. The current content is quite vague, making it difficult for the reader to follow your reasoning regarding why you believe genuine talent is still valued in the arts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a logical progression of ideas. While you use transition words like 'First' and 'Second', they are not used effectively to connect coherent thoughts. Paragraphing is present but does not serve to separate distinct ideas, as the content within each paragraph remains repetitive. Referencing is often unclear, such as in the phrase 'They people are really archive over goal', where the subject is ambiguous. To improve, focus on using cohesive devices to link sentences and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that relates directly to your main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. You rely on a small set of words, repeating terms like 'talent', 'improve', and 'people' throughout the text. There are also significant issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'archive her mission' (likely meaning 'achieve') and 'be free all the day'. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your vocabulary to include more precise terms related to the arts and professional success, and pay closer attention to the correct usage of verbs and nouns in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that make the text difficult to understand. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many people has'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'they can be struggle'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack the necessary components to be grammatically complete. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple, repetitive patterns. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that you are using the correct tense for your intended meaning.
