Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt but struggles with clarity and logical development. While you state your agreement, the supporting arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the second paragraph focuses on Sachin Tendulkar, who is a sportsman, whereas the prompt specifically asks about the arts (music, literature, acting). This indicates a slight misunderstanding of the scope of the topic. Furthermore, the argument that 'anyone can do it' is not fully explored; instead, you focus on how talent leads to success, which is a different angle. To improve, ensure your examples directly relate to the specific domain mentioned in the prompt and provide more nuanced reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'Secondly', but the transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt. For example, the jump from discussing talent to 'people can more focus' is unclear. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally confusing, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between the general statement and the specific example is weak. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each sentence flows logically from the previous one will help improve your score in this area.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'rich', 'famous', and 'talent'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'eleborated', 'poputarity', 'archieve', 'brillent', 'oll', 'countineouing', 'crutial', 'millionair', 'amoung', and 'incease'. These errors, combined with the limited range of vocabulary, make the text feel simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise synonyms and collocations related to the arts and professional success. Focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic words and expanding your range beyond basic adjectives.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'if a person have art'), article usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'i will be eleborated it further'). You rely heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors, such as 'By countineouing their profession as well as skill they can become famous'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
