Student answer (Band 5.5)
The field of art is driven by passion and talent. However, there are some countries that value and support artists and develop an attitude that 'anyone can do it', resulting into success of less talented people rather than the one with real talent. I do not agree to the statement.
Countries of Europe and the United States of America are well known for art and style. People from different areas of the world migrate to cities like New York and Paris in search of recognition to their talent and creativeness. These cities usually promote all kinds of art like music, literature, acting, fashion and many more providing a home to all the kind of artists. One major reason why people do not get the chance to recognize the genuine talent is because of the crowd. There are millions of people trying to get successful in the same field with majority having no genuine talent. Also there are very few opportunities and mentors due to which the promoters hardly get the chance to interact with the real ones.
One of most common and fatal cause to the art industry is nepotism. Children or relatives of the well-known personalities are favored with endless chances into various fields of art, regardless of their qualifications or merit. For example, Tony Kakkar being the brother of Neha Kakkar got a break in composition of music despite of his vague and rhythm-less music. Nevertheless he got popular and rich due to her sister's fandom.
Hence, I do not agree to the fact that promoting arts for everyone is the main reason behind unrecognized talent. Rather it is the fact that not every country supports art and the field id driven by money and fame instead of actual talent.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt, but the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. You clearly state your disagreement, but the link between the 'anyone can do it' attitude and the actual reasons for the decline in artistic value is not fully explored. While you mention nepotism as a factor, the initial argument about 'crowds' and 'lack of mentors' is a bit vague. To reach a higher band, ensure that every paragraph directly supports your thesis statement. You have provided a relevant example regarding nepotism, which strengthens your argument, but the overall analysis remains slightly superficial and could benefit from deeper exploration of how the 'anyone can do it' attitude specifically impacts the industry.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a central focus. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'However,' 'One major reason,' and 'Hence,' to guide the reader. However, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is slightly abrupt. Additionally, some referencing is a bit mechanical, and the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect sentences more fluidly. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is generally clear, though the connection between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be more tightly integrated to ensure a more cohesive argument throughout.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'recognition,' 'genuine talent,' 'nepotism,' and 'composition.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'resulting into success' (should be 'resulting in the success') and 'fatal cause to the art industry' (should be 'detrimental factor for the art industry'). You attempt to use some less common vocabulary, but these minor errors occasionally affect the precision of your expression. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word choices are contextually appropriate for an academic essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'the one with real talent' (should be 'those with real talent'), 'all the kind of artists' (should be 'all kinds of artists'), and 'despite of' (should be 'despite'). Punctuation is generally fine, but there are some issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. The errors do not impede communication, but they occur frequently enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage will help improve your accuracy.
