Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years ,there is increasing trend of publicly showing off of ones personal life to reach the zenith of viewership. It is is social media that becomes easily accessible to each kind of person using it for their own motives especially to express themselves in the best possible way they can often fabricating the things solely for gaining views. People often use autotune ,artificial intelligence to express their creative abilities thus eroding authenticity. In comparison , the ones with real and breathtaking voices and talent are left with no opportunity to get public attention. Due to this reason, people are now looking for artificial art pieces rather than raw one. What is more alarming about this situation is that society will nearly become devoid of struggling and talented artists . It leads to rapid decline in art schools as minors spend more time on making brief video clips instead of working strenuously on polishing their talents. The talent generating organizations which were much popular recently are now declining in numbers as they are suffering from losses . The prime reason for it, is the changing trend from old conventional arts to more innovative and contemporary arts. The government should impose strict ban on copywriting the work of artists. ultimately the onus lies with both policymakers ang general public to limit these practices.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address the topic of 'anyone can do it' in the arts, the argument is somewhat tangential, focusing heavily on social media and artificial intelligence rather than directly debating whether talent is being devalued in traditional arts. The position is clear, but the ideas are under-developed and lack specific examples or evidence to support the claims. To improve, ensure you expand on your main points with concrete examples and ensure the response meets the length requirement to allow for full development of your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear paragraph structure, consisting of a single block of text. This makes it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. While there are some cohesive devices used, such as 'In comparison' and 'What is more alarming', the overall flow is disjointed. The lack of paragraphing is a major issue that hinders the logical organization of your ideas. You should use clear paragraph breaks to separate your introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion to improve the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'authenticity', 'strenuously', and 'contemporary'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'publicly showing off of ones personal life' and 'copywriting the work of artists' (which should be 'copyright infringement'). Some phrasing is slightly unnatural. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are contextually appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'It is is social media', 'each kind of person', and 'policymaking ang general public'. There are also issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. You should focus on proofreading your work to correct basic grammatical slips and punctuation errors.
